My journey
After completing a BA (Hons.) in Multi-Media Journalism, I began a career in radio and television, both as a BBC News Editor and commercial radio Senior Broadcast Journalist. This honed my production and storytelling skills, allowing me to understand the power of audio in conveying emotion and engaging audiences. It was during my early career in radio that I began to voice scripts for a select few clients.
Later, my career progressed to communications and marketing roles, which enabled me to see the production process from another perspective. Working in the NHS as a senior communications manager gave me a great insight into how to relay complex information to different audiences including staff and patients. During this time, I also continued to grow my voiceover client list, coming home from work to record in a makeshift studio in my bedroom.
The pandemic enabled me to reassess my career goals, and I invested in state of the art equipment which allowed me to connect with clients all over the world. I launched my limited company dedicated to voice over services in 2021. In 2023, I was honoured to be recognised as one of the UK's top voice actors when I was presented with a One Voice Award.
I am delighted to say that I still work with some of my earliest clients today; we have built a relationship of trust and they know that I will always deliver the highest quality audio to meet their deadlines. I continue to hone my skills, working with the best coaches in the industry, and am a proud graduate of Richcraft.
